Spaldwick Village Hall Project Information
Project scope and management
The new project involves many different activities, and scope of the project
(which will be updated as required) can be viewed below.
Scope of the new Spaldwick Village Hall Project
(Draft A, December 2009)
The project is being managed and tracked through the regular reporting of the
Village Hall Management Committee.
Stakeholder needs analysis
The Village Hall Project must be driven by the needs of its stakeholders, and
there will be ongoing surveys and consultation with key stakeholders. Here is a
document on stakeholder requirements (which will be regularly updated) produced
by the Village Hall Management Committee.

2009)
Site location
The previous Committee identified nine potential sites for a village hall and
associated playing fields, but have been unsuccessful in acquiring a suitable
site. These sites will now be thoroughly reassessed in partnership with the
planning department in Huntingdonshire District Council.
A review of the site selection activity performed to date has been undertaken
by the new Village Hall Management Committee, and documented (below). This
document will be regularly updated as further progress is made.

Additional funding sources
Considerable additional funding may be required, and we have enlisted to
support of the Cambridgeshire ACRE organisation. Here is an overall assessment
of funding sources (which will be regularly updated) undertaken by the Village
Hall Management Committee.

Village Hall design and costings
One of the most important early tasks is to understand the likely cost of a
village hall, as this will determine our fundraising requirements as well as
helping us to understand if we will be able to address most of our stakeholders'
needs. We are currently considering a range of construction options, including a
wooden construction. Discussions are already underway with a number of building
companies.
More information will appear here.
Benchmarking information
It is important to learn as much as we can from other village halls. Here are
a number of useful documents, and an overall assessment (which will be regularly
updated) undertaken by the Village Hall Management Committee.
