In this edition of the Spaldwick News:
- information on forthcoming events with the Spaldwick Escape youth group, including the Red Nose Day event and a FREE paintball event hosted by Commando Elite
- results of the recent Spaldwick Village Hall survey, which shows that 92% of village residents support the idea of a village hall in Spaldwick
- information of the analogue TV switch-off in our region (served by the Sandy Heath transmitter), which starts on the 30th March 2011.
ALL analogue TV channels will be switched off by the 13th April 2011. The good news is that HD will be available on the Sandy Heath transmitter on the 13th April 2011. That mean that, at last, Freeview gets HD channels (BBC One HD, BBC HD, ITV1 HD and Channel 4 HD). However, if you’re a Freeview viewer, you may need to upgrade your Freeview set-top box to view the new HD channnels. HD channels are already available via Freeesat and Sky HD.
