It’s now time to scarify your lawn

Mid-April to mid-May is a suitable time to scarify your lawn, as grass has started to grow strongly. If you do not scarify your lawn now, you’ll have to wait until about September.  For optimum results,  mow your lawn before scarifying. If, after the winter, your lawn contains a substantial amount of moss, you should apply moss killer a few weeks before scarifying. To help your lawn recover from scarification, water the lawn and overseed any bare patches.
