The Harvest Supper on 21st October 2012 was a great success due not least to David Watson who compered the Auction of Produce. With a mixture of mispronunciation, misidentification and misinformation, he persuaded the diners to pay £270 for a motley collection of fruit and vegetables.
Thanks also to Steve at The George who provided an excellent meal and contributed to the auction by both giving produce and by buying locally-grown vegetables (which were on the menu the following week).
In all, 66 people attended and £534 was raised for Spaldwick Church.
Many thanks also to members of the Spaldwick Gardening Club who served teas and cakes and sold plants in Spaldwick Church on 6th October 2012. This resulted in £400 being given to Church funds.
