Spaldwick Shop Now Taking Orders For Christmas

Spaldwick Shop and DeliFrom today, the Spaldwick Shop and Deli is taking orders for Christmas! As a result of the feedback received from last year, the Spaldwick Shop and Deli is once again sourcing its free range Christmas birds from Franklins of Thorncote, which is based near Sandy in Bedfordshire.

Darrell Haylett has visited the farm and all birds are reared in the traditional way, being allowed to roam freely and only being housed at night. Birds are fed on GM-free natural foods and are allowed to mature slowly. They are also prepared on site and by hand and hung in the traditional way to ensure a better flavour.

Available to order are white turkeys, bronze turkeys, ducks, geese, large chickens, pheasants and (for the adventurous) a three-bird roast!

You can view or download an order form (in PDF format) by clicking on the link below. Order forms are also available at the Shop.

Also this weekend, the Spaldwick Shop will be trialling a new range of locally-baked artisan breads, which are baked fresh at a workshop in Barnwell by The Small Bread Company.  The range will include farmhouse loaves, foccacias, french sticks and a range of croissants, apricot danish pastries and cinnamon buns. Free samples will be available on Friday and Saturday. Please come and visit the Shop and tell Darrell what you think!
