If you are walking through the village and would like to find a nice view of the village, take a walk up Belton’s Hill, as a bench has been installed there by the Spaldwick Parish Council. The photograph above was taken today from the bench, with the village surrounded by flowering oil seed rape.
The seat – located close to the now ruinous Spaldwick Windmill – bears the sign “Spaldwick Village 2012. This seat was placed here by the people of Spaldwick Village to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II”. Recently, new trees have been planted (shown on the left) by the Parish Council.
