We had two sessions in March, with attendance of 54 early in the month, one of our busiest nights. There are good numbers from all age groups attending, with continued increase in Year 6 numbers and the return of a number of older members.
As a reminder, Year 6 pupils are welcome to attend if they are already aged 11 or their 11th birthday is before Easter 2014. The remaining year 6’s can join us after Easter. We accept members up to and including Year 11.
Admission is just £1 per person. The Youth Club runs from 7-9pm in the Spaldwick School Hall and community room. With nights getting lighter, and with weather permitting, we should be able to use the playground and playing fields this month.
This month’s sessions and special activities are:
- Friday April 4th – Beat box / DJ
- Friday April 25th – Activity to be confirmed.
Special thanks this month go to PSA Peugeot Citroen, whose charity trust – The Heart of England Charity Foundation – donated £500 towards the cost of running the youth club and providing a professional youth worker.
Last, but certainly not least, thanks to the parent volunteers who helped this month. Your help is very much appreciated. We need additional help each week to run the tuck shop. If you can help, please either email escape@spaldwick.com or speak to one of the committee members at the youth club.
