Gardening News For April 2014

Roger HainesThe Gardening Club will be joining forces with the ‘Pudding Club’ on the 27th April between 2pm and 5pm at the Church. We will have a plant stall and we will also be selling preserves and cakes.

We would be most grateful to receive donations in the form of plants, preserves or cakes, which we would ask you to bring along to the Church from 1.30pm onwards. All proceeds will be donated to local charities after Spaldwick Open Gardens Day.

Plans are well advanced now for our Open Gardens event taking place on Sunday 22nd June with eight gardens opening and teas being served at Chestnut View. The Simply Spaldwick rose has been selling well but, hopefully, we will still have a few plants available to sell on the say.

The theme for the Flower Festival in the Church on Open Gardens day will be ‘Historical Events in Spaldwick’. For more details, check out the Open Gardens page.

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 9th April at 7.30pm at Lindy Pullen’s house, at 23 Thrapston Road. All welcome!
