The club’s February meeting had to be cancelled due to the rather inclement weather. It was so windy and wet that we felt it unwise to venture out after dark in those conditions.
We are all looking forward to the better spring weather with the encouragement of lighter evenings, which are already noticeable.
We will meeting in March on Wednesday 12th at 7.30pm at the home of Maggie Lincoln, Orchard House, High Street where we will be discussing, among other things, arrangements for the Spaldwick Open Gardens. The photo, above, was taken at the last Open Gardens event in 2008.
This will also mark the club’s two year anniversary so we will be celebrating with drinks and nibbles (any excuse). Please bring what you wish to consume and also bring your own glasses!
Orders for the Simply Spaldwick rose are being received and we have had a very good response. If you wish to reserve your rose, please contact Roger on 891683.
The demonstration at the March meeting will be the planting of a spring container.
Existing and new members are always welcome.
