The Spaldwick Parish Council will shortly be planting some small trees at selected sites within the Parish. The sites are normally covered with weeds and undergrowth.
We have been advised that the best way to sustainably suppress the weeds is to place hessian-backed carpet round each young tree. If anyone has pieces of unwanted hessian-backed carpet please inform the Chairman (mbplummer@btinternet.com or 01480 890534) or any member of the Council who will then arrange to collect it.
