We’ve just had a message from Santa delivered by superfast broadband, and we’re delighted to announce that he will be visiting Spaldwick on Sunday 20th December 2015, starting at 4pm just outside Spaldwick School.
Please come along and give him your support! Once Santa has travelled around Spaldwick in his sleigh distributing presents, you are very welcome to join him and his elves at The George where he will give out more presents before carol singing starts in front of the Christmas tree.
Santa will travel round Spaldwick between 4pm and 6pm
Santa will be travelling his usual route around Spaldwick – commencing at Spaldwick School at 4pm and finishing at The George at 6pm. First, Santa will be travelling along Ferriman Road to Burton Way, and then back along Ferriman Road to Stow Road. Then he will travel down to Thrapston Road, and into Littlecoates Close and then to Pound Close. Santa’s journey will then take him along High Street to Ivy Way before returning to The George by 6pm. There will be two refreshment areas provided by Playtimes, offering hot chocolate and mulled wine. This year, these will be provided in Ferriman/Burton Way and Ivy Way.
Biscuits for the over-70s
Spaldwick Social Group will be distributing boxes of biscuits for all Spaldwick residents over the age of 70. If you have any nominations, please email socialgroup@spaldwick.com.
Calling parents!
If you want your little ones to get a present from Santa, please deliver it to either:
- Playtimes
- 2 Ivy Way (Mark and Alison Heath)
Please label your present clearly with the name of your child and with your address (if you want Santa to present it outside your home) or just write “The George” for a presentation in The George prior to carol singing. Village photographer Mark will be on hand to take photographs, and photos will be posted online the following day so that you’ll be able to download them.
Please join us for carol singing from 6pm
Come and join us at The George from 6pm to sing carols in front of the Christmas tree. We’re delighted that the carol singing will be accompanied as in previous years by Mark, Angie and Mark.
Special meal at The George
The George will make you very welcome. Steve at The George has kindly offered to provide a special two-course meal for the special price of £9.50 for those fancying something to eat after expending all their energy on carol singing! There will be a choice of chicken korma, sausage and mash, or chilli for main course, followed by cheesecake or chocolate torte for desert.
Please come! You’ll have a great time. Here’s a video of a previous year. Press the play icon to start.
