Local martial arts, in nearby Grafham
Did you know we had a local martial arts club that is local to anyone living near Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire? Grafham Tang Soo Do is a small, friendly group of men, women and children, ranging from primary school age to 50+ and in experience from beginners to black belts.
We are always happy to welcome new members. Please come along! Click here to view the new Grafham Tang Soo Do Club website.
Here are some photographs taken by Mark Heath at a very recent training session.
Grafham Tang Soo Do is part of the World Tang Soo Do Association and holds training sessions every Wednesday and Friday from 7:00pm to 8:30pm in Grafham Village Hall.
Tang Soo Do is a Korean martial art that has roots extending back two thousand years. As well as developing self defence techniques, Tang Soo Do training aims to enhance your total self, including fitness, self-discipline, confidence, and much more. It is also a great way to meet new people.
Training involves a wide variety of exercises including stretching, punching, kicking and hand techniques, forms (set patterns of moves), sparring and meditation.
The club is led by Master Chris Carter. Master Carter has been studying martial arts since 1974 and is currently recognised as a Tang Soo Do black belt 6th Dan. He is one of the most senior instructors in Europe and has wide experience of teaching students of all ages and abilities.
For more information contact Master Carter on 07854 664098 or come along to one of our sessions at Grafham Village Hall. You are welcome to join in straight away or just sit and watch.
