The Spaldwick Gardening Club is delighted to announce this year’s Open Gardens 2014 event in Spaldwick village! The last Spaldwick Open Gardens event took place in 2008 and you can view the 2008 Open Gardens photos. After the event, photos and a video will be posted here of what promises to be a great community event for the village.

Spaldwick Charity Open Gardens 2014
The Open Garden 2014 event will take place on Sunday 22nd June 2014 from 12 noon to 5pm. The event will be opened at 12 noon by the Spaldwick Queen.
We will be showcasing eight gardens around the village for visitors to enjoy. These gardens will be varied in size and planting scheme, representing all gardening tastes.
In addition to these gardens, the lovely 12th century Church of St. James will be open and a flower festival, themed around 100 years of Spaldwick history, will be displayed.
There will be a wide range of interesting plants available to purchase from our plant stall, including the ever popular ‘Simply Spaldwick’ rose, which is a hybrid tea rose with an exceptional scent and glossy foliage.
We will be serving teas and coffees plus our delicious cream teas and cakes in the garden at Chestnut View, opposite The George.
There will be a fabulous raffle with great prizes.
For the children, there will be Pets’ Corner and Treasure Hunt.
Admission to all the gardens will be by programme, which will be on sale near the Spaldwick Green (opposite Manor Farm) on the day at £3 per adult. Children are free.
The Escape Youth Group will be manning a tuck shop and Number Twelve Village Shop will be selling its delicious homemade ice creams.
The Spaldwick Charity Open Gardens event is sponsored by Watsons of Kimbolton – your local TV and Electrical Specialist and Euronics local dealer.
All proceeds from this event will go to local charities.
