Another record breaking year, with over 650 people attending the Spaldwick Fete during the day. The Fete was once again opened by David Watson, our Village Crier. We had many new activities, including the Dunk Tank! Don’t forget to watch the video.
Santa at Christmas (December 2014)

Spaldwick villagers flocked to see Santa travelling around Spaldwick. Santa delivered an amazing 81 presents to young people in the village – more than double the number distributed in 2013. He also distributed nearly 30 boxes of chocolates to older residents. This was followed by carol singing in The George.

A record-breaking year, with 650 people attending the Spaldwick Fete – a 20% increase on 2013. The 2014 Spaldwick Fete was opened by David Watson, our Village Crier. We had many new events, including Maypole dancing and Bucking Bronco. A hog roast was offered in the evening with live band.
Spaldwick Open Gardens (June 2014)
Spaldwick Open Gardens Raises £1500
Open Gardens 2014 was the Gardening Club’s major event of the year. By mid afternoon, the village was buzzing as visitors flocked to view the eight gardens on show. There was also a Flower Festival in Spaldwick Church and a display of old Spaldwick photographs.
St George’s Day celebrations (April 2014)

It is the first time that Spaldwick Social Group has organised a meal celebrating St. George’s Day and how very fitting that it should be held in our own local, The George!
Burns Night (January 2014)
Burns Night is a Great Success
The sound of bagpipes emanated from The George on Friday night, 24th January 2014, as the Haggis arrived and was presented by the chef to the gathering of Spaldwick residents, their friends and relatives.
Santa visits Spaldwick (December 2013)

Santa visits Spaldwick every year and travels round the village on his sleigh giving out gifts to local children and chocolates to those aged 70 and over. Santa completes his journey at The George, for carol singing round the Christmas tree.

Helped by the weather, the 2013 Spaldwick Fete was a great success, with 540 visitors! It was the first year of using online voting for the Scarecrow competition, and it proved highly successful with about half of all households voting.

For three years in a row, we had been lucky with the weather. Would we make it four? Sadly not, but the weather didn’t deter people. This was the first year with an evening event and 250 people attended.
Tina May charity concert (July 2012)

UK jazz singer Tina May was the headline act at an amazing charity concert of music held at the Old Rectory in nearby Grafham. Also at the event were Saxology, the HuMS Big Band, the Harmonia Singers and saxophonist Rob Burton.

The streets of Spaldwick came alive as villagers celebrated the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Despite the threatening weather forecast, the weather was kind to us to allow everyone – young and old – to have a great time.
Spaldwick Easter Fayre (March 2012)

The very first Easter Fayre in Spaldwick, organised by Spaldwick Church. The Church hosted amazing displays of home cooking, calligraphy, bookmaking, paintings, photographs, cakes and home cooking, decorated Easter eggs, poems and much more!
Magic of the Musicals (2011, 2010, 2009)

The second Magic of the Musicals was held in October 2010, and was a spectacular success. Funds were raised for Spaldwick Playtimes Playgroup and other causes. Singing were Kate Roberts, Helen Patching, Nathan Taylor and Stephen Weller.
