Every December – thanks to the Spaldwick Social Group – Santa visits Spaldwick. The video above shows Santa’s visit in 2013.

It was a magical evening without the snow and we all managed to escape the rain. Spaldwick is a special village where events like this brings all generations together. Thank you to Susie and Tony for providing transport for Father Christmas!

Street refreshments were kindly provided by Playtimes Playgroup in aid of Spaldwick Escape.

Santa started at 4pm outside Spaldwick School and made his way slowly round the village, giving presents to young children and chocolates to those aged 70 and over. Santa completed his journey at 6pm, arriving at The George.

Free mince pies and mulled wine were provided by villagers by The George. Then, children queued up to receive presents from Santa. Finally, carols were sung round the Christmas tree, accompanied by Mark Sturdy, Eddie Roughsedge, Mark Hunter and Angie Collins.
