UK jazz singer Tina May provided an amazing concert of music at the Old Rectory in Grafham on Saturday 21st July 2012. She was supported by Saxology, the HuMS Big Band and young local saxophonist Rob Burton.
What an amazing afternoon and evening it was in Grafham on Saturday 21st July 2012, and the weather was perfect. UK jazz singer Tina May gave an incredible performance at a charity concert held in the beautiful garden of the Old Rectory in Grafham.
The concert was an SAS (Save All Saints) event in aid of Grafham church restoration. Tina May was supported by Nick Hill (trumpet/flugel horn), Pete Shepherd (keyboard), Laurence Evans (double bass) and Derek Scurll (drums).
Also, at the event were:
- Saxology
- the HuMS Big Band
- the Harmonia Singers, led by Kirsty Body
- the young local saxophonist Rob Burton from Easton.
Robert Burton, who is 13 years of age, has been playing alto sax for four years. Robert auditioned for the Junior Guildhall School of Music in London and was accepted, so he will start in September 2012.
